ABOUT
I was lucky to grow up in the art room of a fine artist, my mother, and among thousands of books belonging to my father, an English teacher. There was no dearth stimulation for my imagination. These, along with the organic shapes, light, colors, and life found in our natural world, and a love of archaeology, form my aesthetic. Beholding illuminated stained glass in cathedrals, the babble of a woodland brook, the chesty drone of a cello, or my fascination with languages all inspire my work.
My background includes black and white photography and graphic arts, the music and film businesses, and a well-known international company that blazed the trail of corporate social responsibility. Now, as an elder climate activist, I feel compelled to use my artistic platform to raise awareness, generate hope and bring people together, and provoke meaningful action to stop climate breakdown.
I enjoy the process of forging my copper vessels with a minimum of tools, and I like experiencing the time, effort, chance element, and human scale of things. I hope I am successful in presenting items which are pleasing to the eye, tactile in the hand, and that will give you, the beholder, hours of pleasure.
